About the Role
The Stakeholder Engagement Advisor plays a crucial role in managing and nurturing long-term, productive relationships with our key stakeholders including state and local government and industry. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, delivering, and evaluating effective stakeholder management strategies.
  • Monitoring external stakeholder ecosystems to identify risks, issues and opportunities.
  • Reviewing and analysing correspondence from stakeholders to ensure timely and relevant responses.
  • Providing strategic advice and updates across traditional and digital platforms.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries from elected representatives.
  • Coordinating and leading stakeholder-facing events.
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of training materials and engagement frameworks.
  • Maintaining effective records of stakeholder interactions and feedback.

About You
To contribute to Unitywater’s values of Reliability, Safety, Honesty & Integrity, Efficiency, One Team, and Innovation, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities:

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, or public relations.
  • Preferably, a certificate from the International Association of Public Participation.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a stakeholder engagement role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Proficiency in engagement software such as Granicus, CRM systems and Gentrack.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety and a positive work environment.
