About the role:
The Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Performance Analyst provides understandable data, reports and analytic solutions. In this position you will proactively pursue opportunities to support continuous improvement initiatives, applying your strong problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities to make effective, data driven decision relating to programs. 
Key functions of the role include the following:

  • Conduct data interrogation, statistical analysis, quantitative and qualitative research to identify organisational gaps, surface new insights, identify issues and risks, and generate value-add information for decision making.
  • Coordinate the timely and accurate collection, collation and analysis of data from multiple sources and ensure all data manipulation is performed accurately, consistently, and is archived where relevant for audit purposes.
  • Provide timely delivery of defined and ad hoc safety, health, environment, and quality reports.
  • Maintain an awareness of the organisation, look for recent developments that may impact safety, health, environment and quality and in consultation with key stakeholder identify fit for purpose solutions.
  • Translate information for others, focusing on key points and using appropriate, unambiguous language.
  • Lead medium to large projects, complex assignments or specific area of expertise impacting across the organisation. Establish clear plans and timeframes for project implementation and outline specific activities.
  • Ensure that all safety, health, environment and quality programs deliver the expected measurable and achievable results.
  • Develop and implement reporting frameworks, including determining fit for purpose lead and lag indicators, producing technical analysis and reports for key stakeholders.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, HSEQ, or HR related discipline.
  • Experience in analytics and reporting including metrics and dashboards.
  • Advanced numeracy, data analysis and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Understanding of Power BI, with SQL and DAX skills advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of behavioural safety and cultural change.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving techniques.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
  • The proven ability to positively influence strategic direction.
  • Highly developed and demonstrated written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of business plans and systems.
  • Design and delivery of training programmes within the scope of this position.
