About the role:
Develop and coordinate Unitywater’s health programs by applying strategic and specialist skills. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support a team that is healthy and fit for work, and to continuously improve Unitywater’s HSEQ performance.
Key functions of the role include:

  • Coordinate Unitywater’s health monitoring program.
  • Ensure Unitywater’s health monitoring program complies with applicable laws, regulations and Unitywater’s code of conduct, and is aligned to Unitywater’s health risks.
  • Coordinate Unitywater’s drug and alcohol program.
  • Act as the Unitywater’s ergonomic and manual handling Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing technical advice and face to face coaching to the business regarding ergonomic and manual handling risks.
  • Liaise with the management teams to ensure health monitoring requirements and responsibilities are understood and that team members are able to participate in the health monitoring program.
  • Coordinate team members who are required to participate in the health monitoring program.
  • Liaise with Unitywater’s health partner regarding health monitoring results.
  • Review and maintain Unitywater’s health monitoring records in both the Unitywater system and the health partners system.
  • Prepare reports, commentary and analysis about the health monitoring program including trends, status, cost, budget forecast etc.
  • Identify, develop and implement health programes that support an increase in Unitywater’s HSEQ performance.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualification in in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Exercise Physiology.
  • Proven experience in the development and execution of successful health programes and initiatives that have delivered improvement to performance and core business process.
  • High level of written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong internal and external business relationships.
  • Work pro-actively as part of a team to shape work culture using work processes, symbols and personal behaviour.
  • Demonstrated financial management experience.
  • Demonstrated time management skills including the ability to plan, prioritise and organise own work to achieve set and agreed performance and service standards.
