About the role:
As the Control Systems Engineer, you will be an SME who contributes to the control and governance of the UW’s operational technology systems, whilst providing elevated technical support to operational, maintenance, and project teams.
  
Leverage your diverse way of thinking to contribute to operational strategies, change strategies and become instrumental in delivering our strategic approach to transforming operational data into intelligent insights for smart water and wastewater networks.
  
About you:
To contribute to Unitywater’s values of ReliabilitySafetyHonesty & IntegrityEfficiencyOne Team, and Innovation, you will ideally demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role:
  

  • Education: Electrical Engineering degree of Certificate IV in Electro-Technology
  • Geo SCADA experience: Template development, server admin, SQL queries, troubleshooting.
  • Telemetry Systems: Proficient in radio, microwave, DNP3, RTUs, PLCs, VSDs; utility industry experience is preferred.
  • Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with Australian Standards, ITIL, legislation, and regulatory obligations.
  • Tech skills: Experience in multiple platforms, ICS, IIoT environments.
  • Industry 4.0 Passion: enthusiasm for cyber-to-physical systems and real-time data tech
