About the role: 
As an Assistant Treatment Plant Operator, you will be responsible for supporting the treatment plant operators to execute the operational tasks associated with a Unitywater sewage treatment plant or recycled water plant to ensure compliance with Unitywater’s and legislative requirements. This will include a combination of technical, general housekeeping and labouring activities to ensure the plant is kept operational, clean, and safe.
 
About you: 
We are looking for Operators who have a relevant qualification such as Certificate III in Waste Water Treatment Plant Operation or equivalent, or willing to obtain and are committed to adding value to customers through the work they do.

  • Experience and practical working knowledge with hardware, software, instrumentation, communications, and process control associated with sewage treatment and recycled water plants
  • Certificate III in Water Industry Treatment (or equivalent) an advantage
  • A commitment to personal safety and accountability
  • A ‘can do attitude’ and ability to play well in a team
  • An interest in achieving great outcomes for our customers
  • Willingness to share your knowledge and experience
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • A willingness to obtain additional relevant licences / tickets (we’ll support you to do this)
