Communications Manager -12 Month Fixed Term Contract 

In this role, you’ll proactively partner with the business to source and shape timely and effective content to inform and inspire our employees across Australia. Thriving in a fast-paced environment, and passionate about the role of communications in the employee experience, this role is a blend of being hands on to design and deliver compelling content across multitude of internal channels, whilst having a strategic mindset to help shape our future communications channels and deepen employee engagement in our content

We are open to both part-time (3 days a week) and full-time candidates for this role.

Who are we?
Teachers Health was created by teachers for teachers over 65 years ago and is the only health fund exclusively for the education community. As a not-for-profit health fund, we exist for our members covering the lives of over 400,000 teachers, education staff & their families.
  
What will you do? 

  • Drive the internal communications strategy that enhances engagement of TH Group employees.
  • Create and deliver the organisation’s internal communications calendar and the delivery of key internal communications activities including events.
  • Align internal and executive messaging with the organisation’s vision, mission, culture, and market positioning.
  • Partner with the business to provide communications support and advice for the development of engaging, strategically aligned content for internal channels.
  • Support the CEO and Leadership team with internal communications requirements and build trusted relationships to source content, develop key messages, and disseminate internal communications.
  • Plan and coordinate the production of internal communications materials including emails, announcements and content across Heart Home and other communications channels as agreed.
  • Drive engagement and usage of the organisation’s internal communications channel, Heart Home.
  • Plan and execute a communications plan for LinkedIn to establish and drive a strong brand/business presence, working closely with the Social Media Specialist as required.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing/Communications team to align internal communications with external messaging.

What do you need? 

  • Minimum eight years' experience in a communications or internal communications role
  • Confidence to partner with and advise Senior / C-level stakeholders
  • Understanding of private health insurance and how it works (Desirable)
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management, and influencing skills coupled with the ability to work under pressure, and easily juggle multiple, competing priorities on a daily basis.
