Snowy Hydro
People Systems Consultant

About Snowy:

Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to about 1.5 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy.

Snowy 2.0 is Australia’s largest committed renewable energy project. This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.

About the position:

This role is designed for a systems expert who thrives at the intersection of people and technology. As a People Systems Consultant, you’ll manage and enhance Snowy Hydro’s HRIS ecosystem—primarily SAP SuccessFactors—to ensure it meets both operational demands and future-focused initiatives.

It’s a hands-on position responsible for maintaining system performance, data integrity, compliance, and the overall user experience. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, this role supports both daily operations and strategic growth by delivering scalable, people-centric solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and support SAP SuccessFactors, ensuring system stability, performance, and user access management.
  • Act as the first point of contact for troubleshooting, technical support, and training across People & Culture and related teams.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, audit, and legislative requirements through regular monitoring and documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, prioritise, and implement system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Lead testing and implementation of system upgrades, new features, and integrations with other HR or payroll systems.
  • Drive system adoption by delivering training, supporting change management, and promoting user-friendly solutions.

About the location:

This role can be based in Sydney, Cooma, or Melbourne offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle and preferences. We have offices in all three locations, providing excellent opportunities for professional growth, networking, and innovation in the cybersecurity and compliance space.

Whether you choose Melbourne—with its vibrant arts scene, diverse culture, and renowned food and coffee—Sydney, known for its iconic harbour, dynamic business environment, and coastal lifestyle, or Cooma, offering a close-knit community, a relaxed regional lifestyle, and easy access to the Snowy Mountains, you'll be working in a location that supports both career advancement and quality of life. Our centrally located offices are easily accessible and surrounded by a wide range of amenities.

About you:

  • Proven experience in administering SAP SuccessFactors, with a focus on Employee Central, within an internal People & Culture or Technology team. Experience with additional modules is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, enterprise agreements, and compliance requirements.
  • Skilled in system configuration, troubleshooting, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Experienced in change management, training, and supporting system adoption.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative and user-focused, with a proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced, complex, and evolving environments.
  • Desirable: tertiary qualifications in HR, IT, or related fields; or relevant industry experience with other HRIS or payroll systems; familiarity with integrations, analytics tools, and project delivery methods.

About our workforce:

Snowy Hydro has a culture of decency and inclusion, with a commitment to the health and wellbeing of our people and a supportive environment to ensure that everyone - regardless of background - feels included and can succeed.
