Viva Energy’s Geelong Refinery employs around 700 people and supplies over 50 percent of Victoria’s and 10 percent of Australia’s fuel.
The refinery can process up to 120,000 barrels of oil per day, manufacturing petrol, diesel, LPG, jet fuel, avgas, bitumen, specialty solvents for a wide range of industries. We are now seeking a Process Engineer to join our high-performing team.
Reporting to the Area Technical Manager, you operate within the area of Diesel Hydrodesulphuriser / Bitumen Manufacturing and Oil movements to assess, analyse, and deliver effective chemical process outcomes to improve the reliability and integrity of the refinery.
In this role you will be active in the day-to-day operations, developing and designing process improvements enhancing profitability, reliability, and safety. Working alongside a great team of experienced engineers who will support your growth technically and professionally while delivering key products to the Australian Economy.
The right candidate will enjoy solving complex operational problems, improving plant performance and downtime, and optimising an integrated facility for economics and energy efficiency. The role includes robust stakeholder engagement across the Refinery leadership teams, economics and scheduling and process control.
