About the role

We have permanent opportunity for a Planning Engineer joining our Asset Investment Planning team in Leederville to support the efficient delivery of products for our asset investment planning function. Our team identifies the long-term water and wastewater infrastructure for Water Corporation's country regions.

What the role will involve

  • Support the development and evaluation of water source or wastewater scheme options to achieve required business outcomes
  • Support an integrated planning approach across water and wastewater schemes including alternative water sources, water use efficiency and water recycling
  • Support the development of investment programs, business cases and projects with deliverables that mitigate risk and meet the investment objectives of the relevant asset portfolio
  • Contribute to the development of asset monitoring and investigation programs that provide the required information for robust asset investment decisions
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders on options for scheme improvements

About you

To be successful in the role you’ll be degree qualified in an engineering discipline or similar, and have experience in the planning, design, acquisition, and asset management of water and wastewater infrastructure. A background in planning, with water or wastewater infrastructure will be highly desirable. Your ability to build and drive positive and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders will be important in this role.
