About the job

We’re seeking an experienced HR professional for a 6–9 month contract to support our People & Culture team. In this role, you’ll partner closely with a variety of client groups, offering trusted guidance across both strategic and operational HR matters. From case management and workers’ compensation to performance coaching and organisational development, you’ll help shape a consistent and engaging employee experience while contributing to key projects and cyclical HR activities alongside the Senior HR Business Partner.

Day to day duties

  • Advise and support leaders on employee relations and change communications
  • Provide expert guidance on employment terms, conditions, and HR policies
  • Act as a trusted consultant to line managers on all aspects of people management
  • Manage workers’ compensation cases in collaboration with Risk and insurers
  • Coach leaders through Return to Work plans and ensure effective implementation
  • Offer advice on industrial relations, remuneration, WHS, superannuation, and employee services
  • Review and update HR policies and procedures
  • Support the rollout of work health and safety initiatives across divisions

About you

You’re agile, adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You bring a calm, confident presence to complex situations and are passionate about supporting leaders and teams to do their best work.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline are desirable.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align people strategies to operational goals.
  • Confident in providing timely, accurate advice on HR policies, practices, and relevant Acts and Awards.
  • Experienced in managing large-scale change initiatives with a steady hand.
  • Skilled in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical and solutions-focused, with a knack for facilitation and problem-solving.
  • Clear and engaging presenter, with intermediate skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent time management andorganisationalskills—you know how toprioritisewhat matters.
  • A great listener and communicator, known for your tact, discretion, and confidentiality..
  • Resilient under pressure, able to juggle competing priorities with professionalism.
