About the Role


As an Optical Dispenser, you will be responsible for providing clinical, sales and customer service assistance in all aspects of eye care. You will be working closely with Optometrists. You will assist patients with the selection of their frames, interpret optical prescriptions, provide excellent customer service and general practice administration duties to ensure the very best patient experience.


This role is ideal if you have completed the Optical Dispensing course at TAFE and you are passionate about eyewear fashion and enjoy working with people in a busy environment.


This is a casual role, working in any of our eight Eyecare Centres around Sydney. Our Eyecare Centres are open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm and Saturday from 9am to 3:30pm.
Responsibilities:
• Interpret optical prescriptions
• Provide personalised fashion and practical advice to assist customers in selecting frames and lenses
• Patient care management
• Assisting on reception, when required
• Keeping patient records up to date

About You


You will have a passion for helping others and be able to build rapport with customers. You will have:
• Experience working in an optical clinic
• Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing qualification
• Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a team environment
• A passion for fashion and optometry
• A positive attitude and pro-active approach to work.
