Network & Security Engineer
An exciting permanent opportunity to join as a Network and Security Engineer.
The role will involve incident management, BAU operations and maintenance and upgrade of HCF network devices
Key Tasks:
Responsible for network operations and security controls that protect data and assets across the network.
• Provide tier 3 support for network infrastructure, including troubleshooting and resolution of incidents and service requests.
• Perform Design, deploy, configuration, installation, and maintenance of Cisco routers, switches, and other networking devices.
• Perform Design, deploy, configuration of Cisco ACI fabric, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Configure and manage Palo Alto Firewalls, including policy management and threat mitigation.
• Manage and troubleshoot network BAU tasks incl. Cisco Wireless/Cisco ISE and branch network.
• Support SD-WAN solutions using Viptela technology, ensuring efficient and reliable connectivity for branch offices.
• Configure and manage Citrix/F5/NGNIX Load Balancer, including policy management and monitoring.
• Strong understanding of Network Maintenance and Lifecycle (EOS/EOL) controls and provide insight in timely manner.
• Collaborate closely with the 3rd Party and MSP providers and vendors to achieve operational dependency results.
• Participate in network capacity planning and performance tuning activities.
• Create and maintain documentation related to network configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Ability to perform network vulnerability management and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare operations handover documents that provide clear and comprehensive instructions for the support team.
Essentials:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in network operations roles, preferably in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Solid understanding of Cisco Routing and Switching technologies, including VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and STP.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI fabric, including fabric discovery, policies, and integration with external services.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Palo Alto Firewalls, including PAN-OS and Panorama.
• Experience with Cisco Wireless technologies, including Cisco Aironet and Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN solutions, particularly Cisco Viptela, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE or equivalent industry certifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Network Vulnerability management and mitigation techniques.
• Understanding of AWS Cloud and on-prem Network Security.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds or Cisco Prime Infrastructure/Cisco DNAC and/or Logic Monitor.
• Understanding of ITIL framework and experience working in ITIL-based environments.
