Marketing Manager - International Business


The role of the Marketing Manager – International Business is to develop, drive and execute all marketing strategies and initiatives for Overseas Visitors Health Cover. Delivering fully integrated marketing campaigns to meet Growth and product divisional objectives.


The Marketing Manager – OVHC is pivotal in delivering the marketing for the international business growth. The role will identify, develop, drive and deliver the lead generation efforts and is responsible for delivering the marketing campaigns through, cross-functional engagement, ongoing monitoring and optimisation to drive acquisition.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, Performance, you will ensure best possible acquisition and marketing outcomes are delivered for the company through managing the marketing relationships effectively with partners.

About the Role

As Marketing Manager - International Business, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of paid advertising strategies, plans and campaigns to meet business and marketing growth objectives. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for International Business which includes Overseas Visitors Health Cover but will also support the broader HCF group.

Responsibilities

  • Paid advertising strategy & implementation - Develop advertising strategies by translating data-driven insights (including consumer, competitor, category, media) into plans that deliver acquisition and business objectives

  • Stakeholder Management - Work closely with internal stakeholders such as media, brand, member marketing, product and digital to align and deliver advertising activity and campaigns

  • Lead the communication and socialisation of advertising initiatives and go-to-market with the broader business including executives and the frontline team

  • Manage relationships with external distribution partners as International Business grows across new channels

  • Leads the development and manages the execution of marketing strategies and plans across OVHC campaigns using sound logic, rationale and supporting data to build long term brand equity and drive profitable sales growth

  • Lead the implementation and management of effective campaigns through a solid understanding of channel and project management

  • Maintain a strategic understanding of Business Growth priorities and challenges and lead the translation of them into effective campaign and digital communication strategies, solutions and standard

  • Expert knowledge of contemporary communications approaches, with a strong digital bias

  • Use data to ensure the voice of the customer is present in marketing decisions, and measuring channel and sales effectiveness

  • Work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, Performance and broader marketing team and business teams (brand, member marketing, digital, strategy, product, dental, life, etc) to support in planning and implementing marketing calendars for the year, in line with the marketing strategy as dictated by the Strategy Marketing working group

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, advertising/marketing or related field/s

  • 3 or more years’ experience in a senior marketing role and agency management experience

  • Previous experience working with Multicultural, Overseas Visitors Health Insurance or International Students

  • Strong background in marketing, campaign planning and creative production across offline and online touchpoints

  • A creative mindset with a proven record of translating an insight into an idea and bringing it to life in market

  • Well-developed project management skills, adept at multi-tasking under pressure and a track record of delivery

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to nuance messaging of complex topics for different audiences

  • Results driven, you are a champion of the brand working cross-functionally on all growth initiatives to bring our experience and expertise together ensuring excellence in the development and execution of our brand and communication plans. 

  • Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills. Ability to interact effectively and build strong relationships with peers, Managers and General Managers of Business Units

  • Able to work flexibly and creatively, respect confidentiality, and under pressure, working to tight deadlines.

  • Be a good problem solver, with passion for technology and innovation.

  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.

  • Budgeting and reporting experience

Desirable

  • Experience in advertising to overseas markets and/or multicultural advertising

  • Excellent copywriting skills with proven experience in developing creative and engaging communications

  • Experience working in heavily regulated environments, such as finance, insurance

  • Previous experience working on marketing automation platforms
