IT Supplier Governance Specialist
The role of the IT Supplier Governance Specialist is to establish IT Supplier account governance and management to ensure operational excellence and continue to deliver services that are compliant with regulatory and organisational requirements.
The IT Risk, Audit and Governance department and its teams plays a critical role in insuring HCF IT and its strategic partners continue delivering best practice processes and the necessary due diligence that ensure the effective and efficient use of HCF’s IT Services.
The company’s vision for technology is rapidly evolving and the challenge for this role is to take HCF IT to the next level of Supplier Governance and Management.
KEY TASKS
- Govern and manage multiple strategic and critical IT supplier contracts including IT system and service outsourcing arrangements
- Create and maintain IT Supplier Governance policy, procedures and work instructions
- Create and maintain IT supplier management documentation and training content
- Identify and engage with new projects requiring operational acceptance on new and existing IT suppliers
- Participate in the Service Transition Management process so all suppliers are identified and registered against IT Services, Products, Devices and IT Projects.
- Manage and report on IT supplier readiness activitie
- Interface with other HCF departments like Procurement and Cyber Security to ensure IT suppliers are governed effectively.
- Manage and maintain supplier management calendar for supplier contract reviews, security risk analysis reviews and business relationship reviews.
- Assess and define operational requirements, including acceptors, deliverers and appropriate evidence
- Identify, assess, and manage issues and risks relating to on boarding new services
- Collaborate with IT and Business resources to define Australian security policies that aligns to our regulatory, legal requirements and security obligations
- Contribute to the development of reporting, including Regulator updates, senior management, and the Board
- Monitor Suppliers compliance to regulatory and statutory obligations
- Monitor IT compliance to regulatory and statutory obligations
- Manage the IT Supplier financials - software licenses, cloud, connectivity, managed services.
- Implement and IT Supplier Management System to centrally manage IT suppliers –
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or an equivalent engineering discipline
- 5 years + of supplier management experience with a financial or insurance organisation in a Sourcing, Contracting or Supplier Risk Management role
- Experienced in implementation of large projects that required a diverse team of associates in addition to experience leading business and legal negotiations•
- Experienced managing suppliers in accordance with regulatory third- and fourth-party risk management requirements
- Knowledge of Interconnect technology, development process, marketplace, and basic digital processes/eco-system ▪ Familiar with Supplier Risk Assessment tools such as UpGuard
- Success in leveraging both traditional best practices, such as IT service management practices based on ITIL, as well as emerging methods like DevOps that are optimized for agility
- Strong project management skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
