Global EHS Audit and Knowledge Management


Responsible for compliance oversight of Global EHS programs through establishing Global EHS standards and training, and Global EHS auditing programs to minimize EHS liability for the company and minimize risk to employees and facilities.

  • Reports to: Senior Director, Global EHS Systems & Governance
  • This position has no direct reports

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage the Global EHS auditing program which consists of varying audit types such as comprehensive compliance EHS audits, focused audits, management system audits, and certification audits.
  • Manage, execute, and report audit results. Develop a plan to address key risks.
  • In support of the EHSMS system standards, this position is responsible for managing the Global EHS documents in the Veeva System (document management system) through to completion, ensuring appropriate controls are in place e.g., version history and publication, etc.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement global EHS training that aligns with programs/procedures and promotes understanding and retention of concepts.
  • Summarize and report compliance status, best practices, priority issues, and recommendations for various levels of management to ensure implementation of corrective actions.
  • Think strategically and ensure deliverables are aligned with CSL organization.
  • Visualize beyond short-term deliverables and expectations; monitor trends and practices external to the EHS organization (both inside and outside of company) and facilitate continuous improvements that have long-term value.
  • Lead and/or participate on cross functional teams to represent EHS objectives related to the subject matter and to meet the team’s overall strategic objectives and deliverables.

Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (EHS related, Engineering) plus 8-10+ years of EHS related experience or Master’s Degree (EHS related, Engineering) plus 8-10 years of EHS related experience. EHS professional certification is preferred.
  • Experience with EHS management system.
  • Experience with analytical tools and techniques to detect compliance risk.
  • Proven experience collaborating to drive solutions which are compliant, and value added.
  • The ideal candidate will have global experience in the Bio/Pharma and/or Medical device industry.
  • Proven experience in EHS management and training design and delivery.
  • Extensive knowledge and skill in applying auditing principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to all levels of the company.
  • Strong time management and project management skills and the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
  • Ability to define scope and magnitude of problem, provide rapid and detailed assessment, coordinate response, present short-and long-term options.
  • Ability to actively listen, build/maintain effective working relationships with internal/external colleagues/resources, and resolve conflict.
  • Ability to create a motivating environment, make decision, influence outcomes, and negotiate to achieve agreements while successfully representing EHS in a decision situation.
  • Ability to successfully manage projects and programs.
  • Ability to manage through influence.
