We are looking for a dedicated Indigenous STEM Education Specialist, Impact and Evaluation to drive evidence-based change and strengthen Indigenous leadership in STEM education.
As part of a national team, the Indigenous STEM Education Specialist, Impact and Evaluationyou will work collaboratively with internal and external partners to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges, perspectives, and science into STEM education. Your role will focus on bridging the gap between research, evaluation findings, and practical applications in STEM education and help build models of meaningful community participation throughout STEM education monitoring and evaluation processes.
You will build and maintain respectful relationships and partnerships with Traditional Owners, Elders, community leaders, and local Knowledge Holders to support the co-design and implement evaluation frameworks, tools, and data systems to ensure they align with cultural protocols, respect for traditional knowledge, and support Indigenous-led solutions that drive systemic change in STEM education.
You will have the ability to work independently and take responsibility for resolving complex problems whilst influencing the decisions of senior stakeholders to amplify Indigenous perspectives in STEM Education and ensuring our systems meets the needs of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students.
Location: Capital cities including sites where CSIRO has a significant presence such as; Newcastle, Townsville, and Cairns
Salary: AU$114,219 - AU$123,605 p.a. (pro-rata for part-time) plus 15.4% superannuation
Tenure: Specified Term (to 31 December 2027)
