The Australian National Herbarium (ANH) is a nationally focused collection of over one million plant specimens, forming part of CSIRO’s National Research Collections alongside the Australian National Algal Culture Collection, Australian National Insect Collection, Australian Tree Seed Centre, and Australian Wildlife Collection. ANH holds the world’s largest eucalypt collection, while the Australian Tree Seed Centre (ATSC) houses the largest viable eucalypt seed collection.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work across both collections, focusing on eucalypt taxonomy to support fundamental and applied research. The successful candidate will apply botanical expertise to curate the ANH eucalypt collection, develop taxonomy skills, and contribute to electronic identification key development.
Location: Canberra, ACT
Salary: $73k to $93k pa (pro-rata for part-time) + up to 15.4% superannuation
Tenure: Indefinite
