Change Manager


An exciting opportunity for a 12-month fixed-term contract position as a Change Manager.


The Change Manager will play a key role in ensuring project (change initiatives) meet objectives on time by increasing employee adoption and usage. The role will focus on the business change aspects including changes to processes, systems and technology.

The primary responsibility will be to minimise the negative effects and maximise the benefits of change resulting from business initiatives. This often involves focusing on the people side of change – identifying the impact on people, getting them ready for change, and handling any resistance to change. The Change Manager will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilisation and greater proficiency of the deployed capabilities that impact employees in the organization to increase benefit realisation, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes.

KEY TASKS

CHANGE MANAGEMENT PLANNING & EXECUTION
• Leading change management work streams with a structured methodology / process.
• Develop change management plans for projects and/or change initiatives.
• Carry out analysis to assess change impact and change management activities.
• Liaise with training and KM resources to ensure training and KM being carried out is reflected in change plans.
• Manage change communication and change artefacts i.e. cheat sheets, FAQs etc.
• Manage change management resources (where applicable).
• Coach and mentor staff to advocate for the change.
• Identify risks and develop risk mitigation tactics

STAKEHOLDER & PROJECT TEAM ENGAGEMENT
• Manage effective stakeholder engagement, ensuring clear and regular communications with key business owners.
• Support business owners with the management of resistance to change ensuring buy-in and commitment for new ways of working.
• Positively contribute to internal project meetings where required.
• Influence key business stakeholders in support of the desired outcomes of projects.

REGULARITY & COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform work in a manner that complies with relevant regulatory standards including Work Health & Safety (WHS) legislation.
• Actively participate in all regulatory compliance activities associated with this role including required training, meetings and information sessions.
• Cooperate with HCF in relation to any activities taken by the company to ensure compliance with relevant regulations including WHS legislation.
• Identify, mitigate and report risks associated with potential breaches of regulatory standards including WHS policies, procedures and safe work practices.

• Strong team collaboration within team and broader IT & business communities.

ESSENTIAL
• Experience and knowledge of business change management principles, methodologies and tools and an understanding of how to apply these to the project management lifecycle
• Demonstrated capability in the execution of large-scale change projects
• Demonstrated capability in enterprise level change covering people, process and technology change
• Implementation experience that includes stakeholder management, communication, business impact assessment, business readiness assessment and training
• Demonstrated capability in producing comprehensive and executable plans
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal
• Excellent active listening skills
• Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
• Strategic, conceptual thinker with ability to translate strategy into action
• Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
