Regional Manager - North Queensland

The Regional Manager is responsible for leading a professional team who manage relationships with existing clients as well as identifying new business development opportunities, to drive continued growth and profitability within the Townsville region. 

Your Leadership responsibilities include supporting your team and developing their potential by providing ongoing training and support.

What the day will look like

Your day will encompass a variety of activities including client contact, staff management, sales and strategy.

 Responsibilities:   

  • Overall management of branch activities, sales, retention and P&L
  • Growing the branch portfolio through pro-active methods
  • Leading, coaching and motivating team members to achieve retention and new business growth targets.
  • Proactively marketing to clients, identifying opportunities and delivering the appropriate solutions
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities to ensure service standards are exceeded
  • Execution of Aon strategic initiatives

To be successful in this role, you will have strong leadership skills, financial services industry experience and a commercial mindset with exceptional influencing and negotiation skills.

  • Proven success in leading teams in a professional/ financial services business
  • Sales/ business development drive and capability, from lead generation to deal closure
  • Excellent networking and relationship management skills allowing you to embed yourself within the local community

  • Previous people management experience including performance management, coaching and mentoring
  • Outstanding communication skills
