About the Role

We're looking for a seasoned recruiter who brings a genuine passion for people and our industry to join our dynamic Talent Acquisition team. We currently have both permanent and fixed-term opportunities available, giving you the flexibility to find the right fit for your career goal.

As a Talent Acquisition Consultant at Alcoa, you’ll be part of a well-established team, recruiting across a wide range of roles from entry-level talent like graduates and apprentices to skilled technical professionals and tradespeople. The scope is broad, and the work is truly diverse!

This is a dynamic and varied role where you could be involved in a broad range of activities, including:

  • Partnering with stakeholders to understand hiring needs and workforce volume requirements.

  • Building talent pipelines for critical roles aligned with strategic workforce planning.

  • Managing the end-to-end recruitment process from vacancy briefing through to candidate onboarding.

  • Maintaining clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, influencing outcomes to ensure a positive experience for both the business and applicants.

  • Championing best practices and driving continuous improvement across recruitment processes and procedures.

  • Facilitating assessment centres to identify and select top talent.

  • Supporting business goals to enhance diversity across our operations.

This role is primarily based at our Bindjareb office in Pinjarra, conveniently located within a 45-minute drive of our Western Australian operational sites. You’ll also enjoy the flexibility to work from home up to two days per week. Regular travel to site, typically one to two days per week, is a key part of the role.

What you can bring to the role

  • Tertiary qualifications or Diploma in Human Resources, Business or other relevant discipline would be highly desirable.

  • Experience in all aspects of recruitment with an ability to juggle a portfolio of vacancies and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to communicate, influence and negotiate successful outcomes.

  • A passion for people, with a customer centric mentality where you thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Solid understanding of the resources industry would be highly desirable with experience of high volume recruitment.

  • A great team player who will support fellow team members in handling peaks in workload.
