Accounts Payable Officer


We’re seeking a highly experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our dynamic finance team on a hybrid basis, working from home and our Sydney office.

The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for the seamless and accurate processing of creditor invoices, staff expense reimbursements, and corporate credit card transactions, as well as the preparation of weekly payment runs. You’ll also manage and maintain the Concur system, ensuring workflows are correctly approved, users are supported and trained, and aged items are monitored and controlled.

Day-to-day, you’ll verify and process payments in line with credit terms, ensure invoices are accurately coded and authorised, and handle vendor setups. You’ll respond to internal and external queries via the Accounts Payable inbox and escalate any non-compliant transactions in accordance with HCF’s Corporate Credit Card and Employee Expense Policy. You’ll also play a key role in identifying and implementing process improvements, supporting reconciliation tasks, and managing vendor and reimbursement policies.

About you

You’ll bring at least five years’ experience in Accounts Payable, strong numeracy and commercial acumen, and advanced PC skills including Excel and Word. Your excellent communication and negotiation skills, initiative to challenge the status quo, and ability to work independently will set you apart. Experience with Concur and Technology One is highly desirable.
