Childcare

There are several child care centres conveniently located on our St Lucia and Gatton campuses, plus centres located within close proximity to Herston and the PA Hospital.

Parking & Transport

The Univesity of Queensland has a number of designated parking areas for cars/motorcyles at each campus, with a number of parking bays specifically available to requiring special consideration. To find out more more about parking at UQ please click here.

Banking

Selected UQ campuses have access to banks and automatic teller machines. Due to UQ’s banking relationship with CommBank UQ Staff are able to access the CBA Workplace Banking program. UQ Animal Clinic

The UQ Small Animal Clinic at Gatton offer a 5% staff discount on consultations and vet supplies and a free day-board service.

Art Galleries & Music

UQ Staff are entitled to free admission to the UQ Art Museum and to view the art collection at Customs House. Staff also have access to free lunchtime concerts in the Nickson Room, St Lucia campus on most Thursday lunchtimes during semester.

Schonell Theatre Complex

The Schonell Theatre on St Lucia campus hosts live events and cinema screenings. UQ staff are entitled to discounted cinema tickets. For more information visit the website.

There are numerous food outlets on all campuses available to both staff and students. In the Brisbane CBD, Customs House offers University staff a 10% discount in their restaurant.
