I have been fortunate to have a couple of different flexible working arrangements over the last few years at the Bank. 

My children are all still quite young and when the end of my maternity leave was approaching, I was beginning to feel quite anxious and sad about leaving them to return to full-time work. Life is pretty hectic with young children and I didn’t want to miss out on spending quality time with them while they are so young. My oldest has started school in the year I was off on maternity leave, and always loved when I could come in and help in the classroom, another activity I didn’t want to miss out on. I also wanted to return to continue my career, and so was very grateful that the opportunity to work part-time was presented to me.
