My Marriott career journey started at the Brisbane Marriott in 2009 as a Food & Beverage Supervisor followed by a role as Night Audit Supervisor, experiencing the Rooms division which greatly assisted me in understanding the complexity of the Front-office department. I transitioned back into F&B as Restaurant supervisor at Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane. 

My first exposure to task force started and before long I was working in paradise at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas transitioning into Banquet Manager. Taskforce opportunities once again allowed me to join the Pre-Opening team of Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, immersing myself in a new culture and overcoming the daily challenges of opening a hotel. 

This was followed by several task force adventures were the Fijian people and the Momi bay Resort welcomed me back training them in strengthening the F&B brand standards where I then discovered my true passion for learning and development. 

Having since grown to Assistant F&B manager at the W Brisbane has been an Epic ride for the last 4 years. I’m looking forward to my next adventure as a Human Resource Coordinator back where my Marriott journey started at Brisbane Marriott.
