Pete Tobin

My working life has seen me through so many different spots, from the ABC to running a butcher market to performing as a DJ at concerts and Bars. My new career at the Pier One hotel requires a collection of all the skills learnt at each spot along the way. My favourite aspect of the job is the daily opportunity to mould and mentor my young team of associates, help them grow, and to get them to where they want to be (and fill them in on some vital 90’s pop culture) I find I perform at my best when the spotlight is on me and its ShowTime… being the leader of the banquets team allows me to do this and more.

A sense of showmanship combined with an OCD-esq feeling towards logistics and organisation has aligned with my role perfectly and I’m very happy with my choice to take a chance, leave my comfort zone, and pursue this career!
