New starters

From day one, our new starter program is designed to support and equip you with the tools you need to thrive in your new role.

We’ll talk about our culture, our ways of working and the expectations of your role to help you be successful at icare.

Our new starters are supported by a buddy during the first few weeks at icare.

Induction day

Induction day is for everyone who joins icare.

In your first month at icare you will attend an induction day which has a main focus to help you understand our values and behaviours and explore how we’re putting customers at the centre of everything we do.

Our induction day is a great way to meet new people and hear from our leadership team about how we can be there for each other, and our customers, along with how everyone at icare is changing the way people see insurance and care in NSW.

Learning at icare

Everyone learns in different ways. Through our different learning options we aim to help everyone learn and develop in a way that best meets their needs.

  • Face to face learning: Our structured programs ensure you have the skills you need to be successful in your current role, building capability for the future. We’ve partnered with a range of quality external providers to deliver programs in communication and collaboration; business acumen; innovation and change; customer excellence; human-centred design and skills for managing yourself and others.
  • eLearning: We’ve partnered with Harvard Business School and Lynda to provide on-demand learning to help our people develop the skills they need, when they need them.
  • Learning experiences: We’re surrounded by opportunities to learn everyday. Our learning experiences support our vision of a more collaborative, agile culture, by taking learning out of the classroom.
  • Leadership: Our targeted leadership programs are open to everyone across the business, from individual contributors to executive leaders.
