Marc Luet
CEO, Citi Australia
Marc Luet is CEO of Citi Australia and Head of Citi’s Australia and New Zealand cluster. In this role, Marc is responsible for Citi’s businesses in Australia and New Zealand. This includes developing and implementing the business strategy, fostering successful client relationships at all levels of the organisation, managing risk and controls, and protecting and enhancing Citi’s reputation in Australia and New Zealand.
Marc was previously Citi’s Cluster Head for Israel, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of AO Citibank Russia, Citibank Turkey and was a member of the Board of Citi Handlowy in Poland.
Marc first joined Citi in 1991, and spent more than 10 years in Marketing, Risk and Operations in Europe and North America, before serving as Consumer Business Manager for Hungary and Belgium. Marc re-joined Citi in 2010 as Head of Citicorp Consumer and Commercial Banking for EMEA, from Visa Inc., where he had served as President for CEMEA, covering 80 geographies. Marc was appointed CEO of Russia in 2013, before taking on his current cluster responsibilities in 2017. He has also helped to drive the strategy in the 51 non-presence countries in EMEA.
Marc holds a BsC in Economics from the Pantheon Sorbonne University (Honors), a Graduate degree from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po) and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College (Tuck Scholar).
