Ventia are looking for an experienced WHS Manager to support the recently awarded Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) and Sydney Harbour Tunnel (SHT) Asset Management Contract.
NSW Western Harbour Tunnel and Sydney Harbour Tunnel Asset Management Services Contract with Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW), provides operations, maintenance and strategic asset management services for the Western Harbour Tunnel and Sydney Harbour Tunnel. The works include whole-of-life asset risk and electricity volume risk, as well as 24/7 tunnel control over 35 years.
Reporting to the WHT+SHT Network Manager, this role will provide technical capability to drive the development, implementation and continual improvement of the integrated contract management system (ICMS) to meet legal, contractual and other business requirements.
What you’ll be doing:
Managing the implementation of Safety Management Plans across the project
Implementing processes to ensure communication and compliance with all SHEQ policies and procedures
Ensuring risk assessments and risk registers are developed and maintained
Reviewing and seeking improvement to SHEQ through monitoring SHEQ performance within area of responsibility
Promoting the participation of all people in achieving a safe workplace with zero impact on the environment,
Seeking to meet TfNSW Specification quality requirements.
Undertaking safety investigations
Managing safety regulators
Ensuring safety reporting is completed, and corrective actions are escalated
Experience:
Tertiary qualification in Workplace/Occupation Health and Safety, Environmental or Quality Equivalent
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
White Card
Formal training in incident investigation
Management Systems and Lead Auditor qualifications
Detailed knowledge of SHEQ legislation, regulatory requirements and ISO standards within a utility or infrastructure project environment
Conflict management, influencing and people management skills
