SHEQ Advisor


The Role
 
Ventia has partnered with Energy Queensland Limited (EQL) to provide distribution, maintenance, and construction services.

Working from our Rockhampton office, we are seeking a system focused and engaging SHEQ Advisor to work on our Ergon contract. Working closely with our project teams in the field, you will require to alternate between the office as well as travel across Central and Far North QLD sites. You will identify, monitor, and manage hazards and incidents whilst supporting and guiding the safety values and requirements of the business. 
 
Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 
 

  • Support and mentor operation staff with non-compliances
  • Review and conduct risk assessments
  • Perform site inspections and audits
  • Attend onsite toolbox talks and perform site inductions/training

 
The Person
 

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Cert 4 in OHS qualifications or higher (mandatory)
  • Construction White Card
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure
