The Role

Reporting to the Team Leader, Works Reliability & Minor Capital you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference and add to our work environment, within a place where you can learn and perform to your fullest potential.

As the Reliability Specialist you’ll be responsible for providing technical expertise and experience to ensure safe, and consistent delivery of reliability improvement activities. Within the role you will also improve asset performance for the business through reliability management and strong engagement with operations and maintenance. We currently have three vacancies across metropolitan Melbourne. Each position will have a primary base location with the requirement to support other teams across the various water and sewerage facilities as needed.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to critically identify and articulate reliability issues in a maintenance environment.
  • You will evaluate consequences of different risk scenarios and implement appropriate cost-effective risk management techniques to improve existing assets with modifications or upgrades.
  • You will evaluate maintenance strategy effectiveness, and support asset management, operations, and maintenance teams in the optimization and delivery of best in class maintenance.
  • Extensive knowledge of reliability techniques, processes, tools and systems with the capability to utilize reliability best practice; (RCA, RCM, FRACAS etc).
  • Proven ability to provide a high level of customer service, and contribute to a constructive, positive and supportive team environment.
  • Proven ability to apply innovative continuous improvement solutions.
  • Excellent organisational skills and an ability to balance priorities.
  • Experience with CMMS or ERP systems, SCADA, Power BI, MS Office, and other IT asset based systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in reliability and risk management.
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to prioritize and perform complex professional/technical work with limited supervision and exercise professional/technical judgement.
  • Strong commercial acumen.

Your ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required together with a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Asset or Maintenance Management or similar.
