We have a permanent opportunity based in our Bunbury depot for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Tradesperson.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the electrical and instrumentation services including installation, testing, maintenance, fault finding, repair and commissioning of all Water Corporation’s assets mainly within the Wellington District, with occasional work across various areas of the Southwest Region.

We are seeking an individual who takes ownership of their work area and can work effectively independently but also contributes to a positive team environment and safety culture.

Proposed start date for this full-time opportunity is 24th March 2025.

What the role will involve

Installation of new Switchboards, PLC’s, Cabinets, Soft Starters, Pumps, transmitters, cabling and associated electrical and instrumentation components in Water / Wastewater and Drainage systems.

Performs scheduled and unscheduled (breakdown) maintenance in Water / Wastewater systems.

Undertakes complex isolation and shutdowns.

Carry out all tasks on PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, and communication systems.

Executes advanced fault finding on PLC, Instrumentation and SCADA equipment.

Complex problem solving of Water / Wastewater systems.

Key skills and experience

  • Electrical Trade Certificate
  • Instrumentation Certificate
  • High Voltage Certificate
  • EWP high risk license is desirable, not essential.
  • WA C Class Drivers Licence (HR highly regarded)
  • Knowledge of Confined Space entry requirements and Working at Heights
