Gas Technician / Field Technician
About the role
Our Infrastructure Services division at Ventia are seeking experienced Field GasTechnicians for POermanent Full-time positions based out of our Dandenong, VIC Depot or in Queensland to support a new scope of works.
The successful applicants will be responsible for field-based activities, including performance in safety, quality, environment, cultural heritage, also in assisting in general on-site tasks and setting up of machinery. The role requires interstate travel to Queensland to assist in the completion of new works.
You’ll be responsible for several key activities including:
- Inspect plant and equipment operation for safe completion of the work orders
- Hold a thorough understanding of plant operating principles and practices
- Assist crew leader in general labouring and general housekeeping
- General driving and use of handheld equipment and tools
- Ensure daily safety checks of plant and equipment
- Ensure all routine maintenance and calibration works on plant and equipment
- Ensure the quality of tasks performed are of a high standard and meet company and client policy and procedures.
- Must be available for Interstate work for selected contracts
About you
- Experience in a similar position
- White/Red Card
- Construction Induction card or equivalent
- Apply First Aid or willing to obtain
- Verification of Competency certificate for the equipment being operated
- Willing to complete a medical and probity checks
