Fitter
Ventia, in partnership with the Australian Defence Force are currently seeking a Fitter to join the team at Bandiana, located in the North East of Melbourne in the Albury and Wodonga area.
This Monday to Friday Full-Time role see you perform all trade related tasks associated with the maintenance and repair of vehicles, plant and equipment. In addition to this, you will operate machinery and assist in non-mechanical maintenance and construction tasks as required.
This full-time opportunity offers 38 hours a week, Monday to Friday with an early finish on the Friday.
The hourly pay rate is $40.88 inclusive of allowances.
About the role:
- Perform maintenance, servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on base
- Undertake as instructed by the Site Supervisor other tasks
- Safely operate machinery and tools and assist in non-mechanical maintenance and construction as required
- Certify plant and equipment as serviceable and fit for purpose
- Complete tasks within assigned time and budgetary constraints, escalating matters that will compromise these constraints at the earliest opportunity
- Uniform, training and tools will be provided
About you:
- Possess a recognisable Trade Certificate III of Proficiency in Engineering Mechanical (Fitter & Turner) or equivalent
- Previous relevant experience
- Willing to complete Defence specific training courses
- Must have valid Driver’s License
- Physically fit and enjoy hands-on and physically demanding work
