Senior Scientist, Serology
We’re hiring a Senior Scientist, Serology to join our team in Melbourne. You will deliver serological analysis and animal studies for Seqirus’ SARS-CoV-2 and influenza vaccine platforms.
You will provide a high level of scientific and technical expertise for the Surveillance and Vaccine Development group to support innovation and delivery of business goals, engagement with stakeholders at a local and international level, and to support departmental compliance. Additional responsibilities include driving staff development including the provision of scientific and technical guidance, and training less experienced scientists as required.
Reporting To The Senior Manager, Serology you will:
- Deliver animal studies to support SVVD programs.
- Support delivery of virus serology data to support SVVD programs.
- Provide scientific and technical guidance for group activities
Your Experience:
- Degree and experience in relevant discipline, PhD degree preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in relevant field/industry
- Experience in virology, cell culture and immunoassays required
- Experience working with small animal models required
- Experience and practical or scientific expertise in the areas of immunology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, analytical assay development or process development advantageous
