About the Role

Since its inception in 2000, the HCF Research Foundation (RF) has invested more than $29 million into health services research to improve health outcomes, making sure all Australians get the right treatment at the right time, and in the right setting. The research projects address key healthcare issues such as low value aged care, pain management and improving the hospital discharge process to better empower patients.

The Senior Coordinator, HCF Research Foundation reports to the Head of HCF Research Foundation and is responsible for administration of RF functions in line with the revised strategy of the HCF Research Foundation and HCF policy and protocols to deliver the RF objectives. This includes:

  • coordination of the multiple RF grant stream allocation processes;
  • management of allocated grants and liaison with grant recipients on contracts, project deliverables and reporting
  • coordination of RF marketing and communication activities

This role also supports the Head of HCF Research Foundation in the governance of the RF, including the preparation of internal reports and RF Board papers, and coordinator of the Research Advisory Committee and the Project Evaluation Sub-Committee.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the delivery of RF objectives through provision of administrative support to the HoRF and the coordination and delivery of key RF functions, including grant allocation and management processes
  • Implement RF Grants agreements and ongoing monitoring of agreements with grant recipients in accordance with project deliverables
  • Ensure the maintenance of contractual records and documentation, including the receipt and control of grant correspondence
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships and communication with key internal stakeholders
  • Support the head of RF, EA Member Health and company secretariat to complete the governance and administrative requirements of the RF
  • Ensure web content is updated, including ensuring requests are sent in time for the opening / closing of grant funding

About You

  • Demonstrated high level organisational and administration skills to complete the administrative and governance requirements of the RF
  • Experience with contract management and proven capacity to interpret contract terms
  • High quality written and verbal communication skills
  • High integrity and ability to develop positive, productive relationships with grant recipients and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organisation & administration skills, and a high level of attention to detail
